A Win, Win Situation!

I've been playing the lottery for a long time now and I know the odds are against me even breaking even. I guess that's why my buddy Bill won and I didn't. It wasn't a huge win, ONLY $10 thousand before taxes, but he always seems to hit scratch tickets and quick numbers. Well, I got an offer from him I didn't expect. He's hiring me to take him to Tallahassee, FL to claim his winnings (and pay the taxes) and in return he'll pay all gas expenses and put us us up in a couple of suites in a nice beach hotel to celebrate. I guess he wants to stay in the area instead of going to Miami/South Beach or the Keys or something. Now I just have to look up hotels in Panama City beach FL, he likes white sand, I could care less! It would have been better for my car if there were an office nearer to Tampa Bay to claim winnings but what the heck, I've never driven that far north in the gulf side of the state. Now, I just have to work out how I'm going to take a Friday off without appearing to have already made a commitment to party. We'll see what happens.

I've never purchased a lottery ticket, don't even know how. Hubby when they hit a huge $ amount; but we've never won. Congrats to your friend. Nice to hear of someone real winning. I sometimes wonder about it.

Stopped in to say thanks for placing my advert, it's appreciated. Swing by for a visit, the welcome mats always
out.

I was just looking at the thick stack of Lotto tickets I have in my room. Imagine if each had some type of winnings associated with it - besides to someone else! :)

I don't play anymore, only bought tickets, maybe 20 times. I never won. I just don't have that kind of luck. The scartch and win ones, I win on them, $10 here and there.

I still buy a Lotto and a Powerball ticket. They say the odds are against me but someone does win and win couldn't it be me for once?
