Carnival Splendor, Half True at Least.
The Carnival Cruise Line ship Splendor is partially correct. The latest cruise was more Carnival than Splendor, for those watching the debacle that is. The unhappy guests weren't appreciating the carnival atmosphere that was unfortunately thrust upon them by an engine room fire that crippled essential services such as air conditioning, food services, and bathroom facilities(I don't even want to guess at how that was handled). I guess you could say they had a poorly managed hosting service that didn't cater to them, or at the very least the 20% of the guests that happened to be children. Wow, that had to be painful! The ship finally limped back to San Diego with the assistance of a few carefully placed tugboats, thank goodness for SeaTow for their sake. Helicopters and other craft were able to bring needed supplies to the cruise ship to let them get by till they were safely back in port. I guess they won't be asking for pop tarts anytime soon!
