An Amazing Shot
I recently saw a video on the History Channel about snipers in the military. I was especially interested in one particular sniper from Canada who was assigned to an American unit in Afghanistan patrolling for Taliban insurrectionists. The rifleman was 1.5 miles from the selected target individuals walking along a mountainous area with RPK's and automatic weapons. The sniper selected the one with the most damaging weapon as his target. He needed to calculate, with the help of his spotter, and adjust the scopes of his rifle for range, windage, and drop over the arrived at distance. The first shot pinged off the ground which caused the three to stop to see where it came from. How stupid can you be? A bullet ricocheted a foot away and you just stand there in the open staring around? I'd be looking for cover. The second shot missed but was higher and they seemed to hear it. You need to start moving boys. Third shot was one the mark and then the rest finally moved, or rather two of them moved!
